Within the framework of Work Package 2, Transnational MRO insight development, MORE4CORE is executing a study to assess the economic impact of MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) in North-Western Europe. Assisting the M4C partners in the study are consultancy firms Mainnovation and KPMG. Following careful consideration of all offers, the partners chose these two firms with a view to combining maintenance know-how with strong international credibility
Prior to conducting macro-economic research, M4C will first execute a benchmark study with 400 organisations in the participating countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany). This audit will be based on a comprehensive questionnaire on maintenance practice, costs, personnel, asset reliability, and innovation perspectives among other key issues.
The surveyors have been trained on the questionnaire and the created web tool to be used in the exercise. Currently M4C partners are recruiting companies to participate in this initial study, with the first audit interviews being conducted as we speak.
The macroeconomic umbrella report of the 4 countries will be presented in Helsinki during EuroMaintenance, from the 5th to 7th May 2014.
We hope to see you there.
